CDS Salute Troops On EID-EL-MAULUD, Hailed Killing Of Halilu Sububu.

On the occasion of Eid-El Maulud, the celebration of the birth of Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon Him), the Chief of Defence Staff ( CDS), General Christopher Gwabin Musa wishes to extend his warmest greetings and best wishes to the muslim faithfuls as they celebrate this special day.
As we commemorate the sacred and auspicious event, the CDS calls on all Nigerians to reflect on the teachings of Prophet Muhammad, which emphasizes peace, compassion, tolerance, justice and service to humanity. These he said are the same virtues that guide the noble mission of our military to protect the territorial integrity of our nation and safeguard the security and well-being of all Nigerians

Director Defence Information on Monday said ” General Musa also salutes members of the Armed Forces who have demonstrated an unwavering commitment and valour in the face of various security challenges confronting our dear country. Particularly, the courage and bravery of the troops of Operation FANSAN YAMMA in Zamfara State for bringing down a notorious bandit leader, Haliru Buzu and others. The CDS also extended his appreciation to the troops of Operation HADIN KAI in Maiduguri for their noble role in rescuing thousands of flood victims during the recent devastating flood in Maiduguri.
General Musa called on our gallant troops to re-double there efforts in defending our mother land, and to also continue to uphold the highest standards of discipline, loyalty and integrity that are hall marks of the Armed Forces of Nigeria. He also urged them to continue to work in unity with other security agencies in order to defeat the forces of evil and to restore peace and stability across our nation. He further called on all Nigerians to embrace the virtues of tolerance, mutual understanding, and respect for constitutional authority.
