Change Of Baton In 70 Command Supply And Transport As Colonel Wasiu Bakare Takes Over Command.

Colonel Wasiu Bakare has taken over the command of the flagship of the Nigerian Army Corps of Supply and Transport as Acting Commander. He took over the command from Brigadier General Wisdom Etuk who has been redeployed to Nigerian Army College of Logistics and Management as Acting Commandant.

The outgoing Commander in his remarks, thanked all the officers and men of 70 Command Supply and Transport for their support and the cooperation he enjoyed during his tour of duty. He stated that the successes recorded by the Command during his tenure was a collective effort of all the officers and soldiers. He enjoined them to accord similar support and cooperation to the new Commander.

Also speaking, the new Commander of 70 Command Supply and Transport urged officers and men of the Command to extend similar cooperation they gave his predecessor to him and stated that he would build on the successes achieved by his predecessor. Until his appointment as Acting Commander, 70 Command Supply and Transport, Colonel Bakare was the Acting Commander 71 Supply and Transport Brigade, Kaduna.

Highlight of the event was the signing of handover and takeover note between the out gone and new Commander, address to personnel and change of flag at the Command’s Quarter Guard.
