House Of Representatives Mourns Vanguard Reporter, Tordue Salem, Observes A Minute’s Silence In His Honour.

Members of the House of Representatives on Tuesday prayed for the repose of the soul of the late Vanguard reporter, Mr Tordue Salem.

Salem, who reported the House of Representatives for many years, went missing on October 13, 2021.

However, last week, the Nigeria Police released information indicating that the journalist was killed by a hit-and-run driver in Abuja.

On Tuesday, as members reconvened in plenary, the Speaker, Rep. Femi Gbajabiamila, formally informed them about the loss of Salem.

The Speaker expressed sadness over the incident and asked that members offered prayers for the repose of his soul.

The House also observed a minute’s silence in his honour.

Mr Speaker sent condolences on behalf of the House to Salem’s family, the House of Representatives Press Corps and the Nigerian Union of Journalists.
