OYANBO WINS PRESTIGIOUS AFRO-WOMEN AWARD.

.Top lawyer and politician receives award from top institution

Barr Oyanbo Owei, Technical Assistant to the Honourable Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, has been recognised as one of the continent’s most Outstanding women by the Africa Leading Women (ALW) at Transcorp, Abuja

The award from ALW, it is noted, was in response to Mrs Owei’s humanitarian drive especially with the Group She4she(an NGO that primarily focuses on women empowerment and protection amongst others) which she founded.

The organisation, under Oyanbo’s leadership, has carried out many charitable acts across the country including free medicare for the elderly, awareness campaigns for young girls, feeding programs and general empowerment schemes etc.

Also within the radar is Oyanbo’s stellar performances as TA Niger Delta/Unions to Nigeria’s energy czar and laudable roles as the first ever female member of the Nigerian Content Board

Barr Oyanbo who holds a law degree from the Rivers State University of Science and Technology and the University of Buckingham is also the youngest ever person to have been appointed Special adviser to the Bayelsa state government during the Timipre Sylva governorship.
