PROF. SAMSON DUNA, HONOURED WITH THE TRADITIONAL TITLE ‘LEMAN YAKANAJIE UKE’

Just like the African adage that says “Scent oil sell its self in the market”, so does Engr. Prof. Samson Duna stand in the midst of many with his laudable humanitarian services and community developmental programmes as captured in a recent event.


In touching the lives of the people, Prof. Samson Duna has imprinted his footprint in the Ancestral home of the YAKANAJIE UKE Kingdom in Karu LGA, Nasarawa State with his charitable works in the Palace as part of the Nigerian Building and Road Research Institute’s Corporate Social Responsibilities.


In appreciation of the great services to the kingdom by Prof. Duna and the Institute, His Royal Majesty, Alh. Dr. Ahmed Hassan Abdullah (KOBA) and the entire Yakanajie Uke Emirate, on Wednesday 22nd of September, 2021 honoured and conferred on Prof. Duna a highly recognized Traditional Chieftaincy title, ‘LEMAN YAKANAJIE UKE’ which literally means “Umbrella of Yakanajie Uke”.


Presenting the acknowledgement on behalf of His Royal Majesty and the entire Emirate, Alh. Abubakar Illyasu encouraged Professor Duna to continue with his good works as he further enjoined leaders to also thrive towards the actualization of community goals.


In appreciation remarks on the conferment, Prof. Duna expressed gratitude to His Royal Majesty and the entire Yakanajie Uke Emirate for finding him worthy to be chosen as part of the titled cabinet of the Emirate.

He also appreciated the Management and Staff of the Institute for the great support he is getting through their hard work and commitment to uplift the Institute to greater height.
