PRESIDENT BUHARI APPOINTS MAJOR GENERAL FAROUK YAHAYA AS THE CHIEF OF ARMY STAFF.

The President Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, President Muhammadu Buhari, today, 27 May 2021, appointed Major General Farouk Yahaya as the 22nd Chief of Army Staff, Nigerian Army.

Until his appointment, Maj Gen Yahaya was Military Secretary Army and General Officer Commanding 1 Division Nigerian Army, Kaduna and he is the current Theatre Commander, Operation Hadin Kai responsible for the ongoing Cointerinsurgency Operation in the North East.
