There Will Be No Hiding Place For Criminals This Yuletide -Nigerian Army.

Nigerian Army has vowed to make the country very uncomfortable for criminal elements to operate this yuletide season.
According to the Director, Public Relations, Brig. Gen. Onyema Nwachukwu disclosed while briefing newsmen on Wednesday in Abuja, he said,there are series of Army exercises ongoing across the country to curb the criminal activities as Nigerians approach yuletide season.
Nwachukwu further stated that 20 States in the country and the FCT has currently recorded a successful army exercises codenamed as Still Water, Enduring Peace and Golden Dawn while calling on the citizens to support the military with necessary information on the possible hideout of these criminals.
“Troops are also encouraged to remain professional, vigilant and exhibit utmost respect for human rights of citizens in their respective areas of responsibilities,He said.
“The Nigerian Army urges law abiding citizens to take ownership of the ongoing exercises and volunteer useful actionable information to security agencies,” He noted.
“So far, all the exercises have recorded significant successes,” the Army Spokesperson stated.
The geopolitical zones which the aforementioned exercises are operational Include South South, South East, South West and North Central having flagged off by the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Lt. Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja on the 9th of October 2023 in Lagos.
“As it stands today, troops have maintained an offensive posture, conducting several kinetic and non-kinetic operations in the forms of raids on criminal hideouts and patrols amongst others.He said.
“We are assuring those coming back home that there will be adequate security. He said.
“Security forces will dominate the South-east,Law abiding citizens have nothing to fear,” He said.
