Sylvia Presents Petroleum Resources 2022 Scorecard.

Honourable Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Chief Timipre Sylva on Monday 9th January, 2023 at National Press Centre Abuja, presented the Oil and Gas Strategic Priorities (2019-2023).

Some of the Oil and Gas Strategic Priorities presented by the Minister are:
(1) Eradicate smuggling of Premium Motor Spirit(PMS) across Nigerian borders.
(2) Complete Gas flare commercialization program.
(3) Increase Crude Oil production to 3mbpd.
(4) Reduce cost of Crude Oil extraction by at least 5%.
(5) Aggresively promote passage of the Petroleum Industry Bill, etc.

Presentation of the scorecard was organised by Federal Ministry of Information and Culture. It was the sixteenth in the series presented so far and the first in year 2023.

The programme was attended by the Honourable Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, Permanent Secretary of Petroleum Resources, Ambassador Gabriel Tanimu Aduda, Permanent Secretary of Information and Culture, Mrs. Lydia Shehu Jafiya, Chief Executive Officers of the Agencies under Ministry of Petroleum Resources, Captains of Industries, Directors and some members of Staff of MPR and other eminent Nigerians.
