What is respect in marriage?
Respect is a journey that never ends. One that will make hypocrites of even the best of us.
Respect is a state of complete loyalty, one that is able to adapt to evolving tests.
Respect is attention paid to welfare, ideas and the complete well being of the other, such that positive growth comes first.
Respect is every standard attained when the person is there.
Respect is every standard maintained when the person is not there.
Respect is what goes on in the phone, open or locked.
Respect is every email encrypted or not.
Respect is to listen when one desires to listen. Respect is to listen even when one does not desire to listen.
Respect is to go beyond listening to hearing.
Respect is to go beyond hearing to actioning.
Respect is to love the family of the other in the best possible way.
Respect is to feel like a negative emotional spike but trigger a healthy limit.
Respect is to unclench that fist and drop that hand.
Respect is to close that mouth and mute the harsh words.
Respect is to open up and be one on almost everything.
Respect is to give what is deserved.
Sometimes, respect is to give more than what is deserved.
Respect is to stand for and protect.
Respect is to sit down and speak with.
Respect is to treat gently and handle with care.
Respect is to care.
Respect is to help.
Respect is to be, when a person is down, at least what one was when the person was up.
Like I said, respect is a journey.
