VALENTINE OZIGBO CONDOLES WITH CHIEF OBIORA OKONKWO AS HE BURIES HIS MOTHER.
Valentine Ozigbo, a leading Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship aspirant, joined the Okonkwo family of Ogidi, Idemili North LGA of Anambra State in paying respects to their matriarch, Mrs Ezinne Roseline Okonkwo, whose funeral was on Friday, February 5, 2021.
The late Mrs Okonkwo was the mother to Dr Obiora Okonkwo, the CEO of The Dome Entertainment Center, Abuja.
At the ceremony held Ogidi, Mr Ozigbo eulogized Mrs Ezinne Okonkwo as “a woman of virtue who positively touched many lives”.
Ozigbo, who is the immediate past President and Group CEO of Transcorp Plc, also described her as “a loving mother whose absence has left an enormous vacuum in the Okonkwo family and everyone privileged to have had contact with her”.
The respected business leader went on to urge the bereaved to uphold the legacy their matriarch left behind.
He also prayed that God would grant her soul eternal rest and give the entire Okonkwo family the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.
Several notable personalities in both business and political class, including a former Governor of Anambra State, Senator Andy Ubah; the Chairman of PDP in Anambra State, Sir Ndubuisi Nwobu and members of the state executives; the Senator representing Anambra Central at the National Assembly, Uche Ekwunife; the member representing Idemili North/Idemili South Federal Constituency at the Federal House of Representatives, Honourable Obinna Chidoka, and several other dignitaries drawn from all works of life.
Ozigbo was accompanied by senior members of his campaign organization, including a former Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly and a two-time member of the Federal House of Representatives, Honourable Eucharia Azodo; a former member of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Sir Tim Egboka; a former member of both the Anambra State House of Assembly and the Federal House of Representatives, Honourable Barrister Valentine Ayika.
Others are PDP stalwart, Chief Tony Offiah; two former Chairmen of the PDP in Anambra State, Chief Benji Udeozor and Ejike Oguebego; a former PDP Woman leader in the state, Dame Love Ebeh; a former PDP Chairman in Njikoka Local Government Area, Dr. Willy Emenari; a former Chairman of the PDP in Dunukofia Local Government Area, Chief Ikechukwu Akaeze, and several others.
